MAT 202 Kinetics Laboratory:

Established in the laboratories at G049-050 for the course of MAT 202 Kinetics. Each semester, 6 physical chemistry experiments related to kinetics are done within the context of the laboratory. Experiments were designed according to the subject matter thaught in the course.

CHEM 301 Inorganic Chemistry Laboratory:

Established in the laboratories at G049-050 for the course of CHEM 301 Inorganic Chemistry. Each semester 6 inorganic chemistry experiments related to inorganic chemistry are done within the context of the laboratory. Experiments were designed according to the subject matter thaught in the course

CHEM 302 Analytical Chemistry Laboratory:

Established in the laboratories at G049-050 for the course of CHEM 302 Analytical Chemistry. Each semester 10 qualitative and quantitative chemistry experiments related to analytical chemistry are done within the context of the laboratory.

MAT 401 Surface Chemistry Laboratory:

Established in the laboratories at 2053 and G049-050 for the course MAT 401 Surface Chemistry. BET surface analyzer in 2053 was purchased from the budget of FP6 COPOWER project, and the equipment designed and built by ourselves for diffusion measurements is in G049. Students use these two instruments to determine surface properties of the solid porous materials. In addition to these instruments students also investigate the surfaces by the scanning electron microscope (SEM) in the laboratory 2300. Experiments were designed according to the subject matter thaught in the course.

Fuel Characterization Laboratory:

A bomb calorimeter purchased from the budget of FP6 COPOWER project and an XPS sulphur analyzer purchased from the budget of TUBITAK TBAG-U/130 (104T386) Turkey-Bulgaria Binational project are placed in the laboratory 2110. These two instruments are used for the characterization of the coals utilized in the COPOWER and TUBITAK TBAG-U/130 (104T386). Graduate and undergraduate students who work with our research group use these instruments.
